Nature's Footprints Forest School First Aid Course at Beaumont Park

Well done to Vicky and Lisa from Nature’s Footprints, and all our Level 3 (Forest School Leader) trainees who successfully completed their compulsory 16 hour Outdoor First Aid course this week at our base at Beaumont Park.

And a big thanks to Andy who delivered the course and whose sense of humour kept people going and got them through some of the more gruesome bits.  Highlights of the 2 days were the bandaging and splinting and the extent to which people got into character when they were being a casualty or first aider in the various accident and incident scenarios!

Vicky and Lisa’s training comes just in time for our free half term Holiday Forest Sessions and our monthly Family Forest session this week.  Our 4-8 year Nature's Footprints Forest School First Aid Course at Beaumont Parkold session will be on Monday 28th, from 10 till 12 (weather permitting!) and our 8-14 year old session will be on Wednesday 3oth, from 10 till 4.  As usual numbers are limited and booking is essential, and we’ll be meeting at the cemetery rather than the Visitor Centre with the aim of having the whole session outside at our dedicated Forest School site.

Family Forest will be on Saturday 2nd November, and we’ll be doing some outdoor cooking so that we can all share a warm al fresco lunch together.  Again, booking is essential.
