Last Chance to Book for Level 3 (Forest School Leader) Training Next Week

We are running a Level 3 (Forest School Leader) Training course next week – 23rd-27th September.  This qualification, run under licence from Archimedes Training and assessed and accredited by the Open College Network, allows you to set up and run your own Forest School activities or programmes.  It is suitable for teachers and teaching assistants and anyone who wants to run outdoor learning and Forest School activities for children.

All our courses are run at our base in Beaumont Park, Huddersfield by Jo Liversidge who is one of the only Level 4 accredited Forest School Trainers in the area.  She has 15 years’ experience as a primary school teacher with over 6 years’ experience of setting up and running Forest Schools.  She currently works as a Forest School Leader and Consultant in a number of local schools.

The qualification takes 9-12 months to complete, because students have to gain a certain amount of practical experience and skills, complete a portfolio, and gain a first aid qualification.  There is an assessment week in March 2014.

The course costs £875 per person.  For further details or to book a place, contact Jo on 07843 673011, jo@naturesfootprints.co.uk. Download a flyer here.

We also offer the the 2-day Outdoor First Aid qualification you need.  Find out more…..

Level 2 (Forest School Assistant) Training

Our next Level 2 (Forest School Assistant) Training week will run from 11th-15th November.  This qualification allows you to assist in Forest School activities or programmes alongside a Level 3 Forest School Leader.  During the week you will be outside as much as possible learning a mixture of theory and practical skills.  You will have 3-4 months after the course to complete and submit a portfolio (which includes some practical experience), and will be given time each day to complete as much as you can during the week.

As above, this course is suitable for teachers and teaching assistants, or anyone wanting to run outdoor learning or Forest School sessions for children.  It is run under licence from Archimedes training and is assessed and accredited by the Open College network and is run by Jo Liversidge at Beaumont Park in Huddersfield.

The course costs £450 per person.  For further details or to book a place, contact Jo on 07843 673011, jo@naturesfootprints.co.uk. Download a flyer here.

We’ll be running more accredited Forest School courses in the Spring and Summer – for details please contact us.

We are also running a number of one-day additional Forest School skills courses, and Outdoor First Aid courses.  For further details contact us.

Hi Louise

Thank you for getting in touch. I think the next course will be in January, however, we haven’t yet confirmed the dates. I’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
