Woodland Birthday Party with Nature's FootprintsThis summer, we’re running more of our popular free holiday sessions in conjunction with Friends of Beaumont Park.  Jo and her team of qualified Forest School Practitioners will be playing out in the park with 4-8 year olds on Tuesdays and 8-12 year olds on Thursdays, throughout August, whatever the weather.

And on the last Friday of the holidays (30th August) we’ll also be offering some Forest School taster activities at The Big Bang in Beaumont Park – an afternoon of adventurous activities (such as Mountain Biking), to come and try.

Typical activities include games, stories and songs, crafts, problem solving, den building, fire lighting, using tools, learning about wildlife and nature, pond dipping, mini beast hunts, treasure hunts, fire lighting and outdoor cooking depending on age range, weather and length of session.  But most of all it’s about being outside and having fun!

The Tuesday sessions (for 4-8s) run from 10am-12pm on:

  • 6th August
  • 13th August
  • 20th August
  • 27th August

The Thursday sessions (for 8-12s) run from 10am-4pm on:

  • 25th July
  • 8th August
  • 15th August
  • 22nd August

All sessions start and finish at the Visitor Centre and kids need suitable outdoor clothing (as much of each session as possible will be outside).  On Thursdays the children also need a packed lunch.  Numbers are limited, so booking is essential.

To find out more or to book a session, please call Jo on 07757519977, or contact her via Nature’s Footprints.
