We’re excited to announce that over the Autumn and Winter we will be running a series of workshops, run by experts, and aimed to give you more Forest School-related skills and ideas.  They will run once a month on a Thursday at our base in Beaumont Park, Huddersfield.

These are:

  • Forest School Taster Day with Nature's Footprints10th October 2013 – Forest School Taster Day – with Jo Liversidge from Nature’s Footprints

Come and have some fun and try some typical Forest School activities and find out more about the benefits of Forest School and outdoor learning and what’s involved. We’ll also give you an introduction to the different Forest School qualifications that you can earn.

Details to be confirmed – please contact us for further details or to register your interest.

James will teach us the basics of making paper, and show us the differences between these handmade papers and normal mass-produced paper.  He will take us foraging for plants, leaves and grasses that can be used to make paper and we will make the deckles and moulds as well as the paper itself.  There will be time to explore the techniques we’ve learnt for ourselves, and everyone will leave with something they’ve made.  We may even have time for some foraged tea tasting!

The day will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm and costs £55pp, including lunch.   Numbers are limited to 15 people.
